Perc-Rite® Drip Dispersal Systems
PERC-RITE® is a precision engineered fluid handling system for the dispersal of septic tank effluent wastewater into soil. Combining filtration, time dosing and low-rate drip distribution tubing. PERC-RITE® used for septic effluent dispersal provides for the aerobic treatment of an anaerobic effluent into the natural soil.
PERC-RITE® is an adaptable system for all pretreatment processes including septic tanks, aerobic treatment units, lagoon, and media filtration. Only primary treatment—the removal of large, settled solids—of the sewage is necessary for the operation of the system. Local soil and site conditions may require added treatment for excessive organics, nutrients, F.O.G or other contaminants. American Manufacturing works with manufacturers of all quality septic tanks, NSF40 and NSF245 equivalent treatment systems. PERC-RITE® is ideal for subsurface & surface dispersal of wastewater.
Cost-Effective & Economical
• Expandable for future home or family growth
• Reduced engineering time via pre-engineered, integrated components
• Requires a smaller drain-field footprint.
• Low operating and maintenance costs
Green & Sustainable
• Low energy usage
• Minimal site disturbance
• Reduces sediment runoff and preserves landscaping/trees.
• Promotes groundwater recharge.
• Helps reduce total nitrogen (TN) and phosphorus (P) levels.
STANDARD OPERATION
Perc-Rite® drip system is based on always providing a complete dose for equal distribution. The bottom float is a redundant off float, redundant to the timer. In the event the timer does not turn the pump off the float goes down and turns the pump off to protect the pump from running dry and damaging itself. The timer-enable float is positioned high enough above the redundant off to always have a complete dose even in the event of a field flush occurring during the dose. When the timer-enable float goes down the dose continues until the timer turns the pump off. The system is also provided with a “Peak-enable” float which is designed to enable the system to distribute the maximum daily flow only to the drip field. The “Peak-enable” condition simply reduces the rest time between doses therefore increasing the total daily flow. See Design specifications for detailed operation.
THREE-ALARM MONITORING
• High-Level Alarm: In the event of excess water use, a leaky toilet, or mechanical failure, water will rise in the pump chamber and activate the alarm. The alarm may be set for Auto-Reset or Latching. With Auto-Reset ON, when the alarm float rises, the alarm is activated (the horn may be silenced by pressing the T-N-S button). When the float drops, the circuit resets automatically. With Auto-Reset OFF, the alarm latches on when the float rises. When the float drops, the circuit must be manually reset to acknowledge that the alarm condition occurred.
• Low-Water Alarm: When the low-level, or Redundant-Off, float drops, the alarm will activate. This condition may occur during manual system operation. The alarm alerts the operator that the pump may soon run dry and could be damaged.
• Float-Fail Alarm: When enabled, the alarm will activate if the floats rise in the wrong order. For example, if the Peak-Enable float rises before the Off float, the alarm will sound. This feature notifies the operator of an installation error or float failure.
